| LACE CAP DARK PINK is a vigorous plant with one row of light pink sterile flowers surrounding a cluster of fertile flowers. The fertile flowers are an attractive blue. The lace caps are novelties. Forcing time is about 2 weeks slower than Merritt Supreme. The color of the flower improves with age. The sepals are very light when they first expand. Lace Cap Light Pink is similar to dark pink but has a darker more pleasing color than light Pink. The dark pink sterile flowers are extremely attractive. Forcing time is similar in both varieties. When blued, this variety is wine colored. Not unattractive but not blue. See lower picture at right. |
