Renate is an older European Variety. It branches readily. Cane size is comparable to that of Mathilda Gutches. Color is a distinctive clear bright blue or medium pink. Renate is a vigorous variety usually requiring staking, and 1-2 applications of B-NINE. Flower heads are soft but can be toned by applying a 1250 ppm to 2500 ppm application of B-NINE just before heads start to show color. It forces quickly as it comes into color 7-10 days faster than Merritt Supreme.
